Maui vacation rental condo cleaners are often overlooked when people are figuring out the income and expenses on their vacation rental condo. Of course, we want to take more money in and pay less money out, but the cleanliness of your condo is arguably one of the top reasons why a guest will choose to return to stay in your unit or not. Aside from location and amenities, a nice clean condo will make your guests feel more comfortable and able to relax. We have all stayed in a dingy hotel before. You really can’t feel settled in unless you’re one of the types who clean their hotel/condo as soon as they arrive — not judging, but that shouldn’t be necessary.

Owning a vacation rental condo is just like running a business.

You don’t want to be known as the “dirty” or “grimy” unit that regulars avoid, you want to be the unit people want to stay in when they return. In most cases, there’s another unit in the same complex with a comparable view and amenities. If your guest gets a chance to see that unit and it is better maintained than yours then you will lose that return business. With so much competition on the islands, no one can afford to keep losing business. Personally, if there were two Maui condos and one had better amenities but wasn’t clean, I’d stay in a clean unit. Also, don’t forget that guests talk, both out at the pool and in online reviews. If you want to make the most off your investment, you definitely want positive reviews.

A good cleaner will charge you a “deep cleaning” fee 1-2 times a year.

Once they’ve deep cleaned the unit, they will be able to manage the overall cleanliness of your condo efficiently. Some people would like to not pay the deep cleaning fee, but you cannot possibly expect a company to clean every nook and cranny of your condo every time they come to your unit… especially if you want it to be affordable. They can and should be able to stay on top of most everything but a good deep cleaning will make sure your condo is looking perfect all year long. Take the high priced excellent cleaner over the cheap cleaner, your occupancy rate will reflect your clients’ satisfaction as they return each year!
