Maui Oceanfront Property at $55,000/Acre?

That is if you purchase all 154 acres…at $8,500,000

3500 Kahekili Highway (MLS #345404) is located just 15 minutes from Kahului Town and the airport, comes with an older home, a cottage, and 2 additional structures. But the “gold” in this listing lies in the land. Rarely does an amazing parcel of land like this come on the market, so this may be your lucky day.

First of all, I’m still trying to wrap my head around 154 acres. Maybe if I sold real estate in Wyoming, or Montana, I would be more familiar with parcels that large, but my real estate dealings have been on Maui and in Los Angeles. The largest parcel that I ever sold was a 3-acre, mostly flat parcel, just north of downtown L.A., just over the hill from Dodgers Stadium. That amount of land was unheard of in the city, and I managed to snag it for my buyer. Here is my attempt to give you the feel for a parcel that large…as best as I can.

The property has 500 yards of roadside frontage. It also has a graded roadway that meanders through a wooded 750′ elevation, to a flat cliff top estate site that gives 360 degree views from Kahakuloa, Kahului Bay, all the way to Haleakala, in the background.

The property has the potential to be split into 13 luxury estate sites, all with panoramic ocean views, or kept as one magnificent estate.  The land has a year round spring and stream running through its valley.

Now that I’ve got you hooked, the seller would consider selling a smaller portion off at $85,000 per acre. Even at that price, it seems like an amazing deal. For more information on this listing, or if you have any questions about living the Maui lifestyle, contact me.

Some lucky person is probably getting the last substantial parcel of land on the island. Wish it could be me! Thanks for reading.
