Sierra Club Maui Hikes

Malama Hamakua

hike on north shore maui

The hike this Saturday is a service outing on the North Shore of Maui on the beautiful Hamakua Coastal Preserve.  This will be about a 2-mile hike. Help clear away rubbish from the gulches and preserve and re-plant native species.  Tools, snacks, trash bags, etc. provided. This Hike is co-sponsored by Malama Hamakua.

Kanaio Stupa

waves crash onto black rock beach

Sunday is not a community service outing. However, I feel I need to mention it as it takes place in beautiful Kanaio. This will be a 4-mile hike with some steep grades. Hike up the South slope of Haleakala to beautiful shrine built in 1982 and view of South coast. Meet 9 am at the Ulupalakua Ranch Store (upper Kula). Bring lunch, water and rain gear.

Real Estate News  – New Land Listing in Kula

In real estate news, I’m excited to share with you that we have 15 acres of pristine land in Kula I’o just listed. 151 Kula I’o Road offers over 7 buildable acres and Kula I’o allows for condominiums of house and cottage so plenty of options for would-be owners. 15 acres featuring bi-coastal views, perfect Upcountry climate and fertile land make this a stand-out compared to any other vacant land options on Maui. Contact your favorite realtor for a viewing.

As always, have fun and stay safe! Hope to see you out there this weekend.
