Matching Funds for a Stronger Hawaii: Helping Hawaii Heal, One Gift at a Time

That is one of the things I love most about living and working here. Community is not just a word. It is something we practice.

Supporting Long-Term Recovery

Hawaii Life and the Hawaii Life Charitable Fund are currently matching the next $35,000 donated through the Hawaii Life Charitable Fund to support disaster relief across Hawaii. These donations will benefit the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Stronger Hawaii Fund which helps communities recover after hardship and disaster.

This is meaningful work.

Disaster recovery is not simple. It does not end when the headlines slow down. Families, small businesses, local organizations, and entire communities often need long-term support as they rebuild. That kind of recovery takes planning, trust, and resources placed in the right hands.

The Hawaii Community Foundation has earned deep respect for its thoughtful grant-making and long-term approach to helping Hawaii recover. Their work reaches beyond the immediate response and helps address the real needs that appear over time.

For me, this effort feels very close to home. Those of us who live here know how much these islands give us. We also know how fragile life can feel when disaster touches our shores. When we have the opportunity to help, especially in a way that doubles the impact of each donation, it matters.
