For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Ka Makana Ali’i in Kapolei, it’s a 67-acre development / mall which will be a combination of retail, entertainment, hotels, and office uses. Per the Ka Makana Ali’i’s website, it will “feature 75 shops and restaurants, a cinema, two hotels, and LEED-certified office space. At completion, it will be the third largest shopping center in Hawaii.”

I would like to see a gymboree , cinnamon girl,whole foods,we really need a children’s shop…also a kitchen shop like a Williams Sonoma…..these are the shops we frequent alot so if came to our area it would save us a trip o town….also a krispy kreme would be great….mahalo

I’d like to see Shirokiya here. As for some affordable buys, I’d also want Wal-Mart so that I don’t have to travel all the way to Wal-Mart, though there’s one in Kapolei, too. Also, how about CVS or Longs Drugstore, TJ Max, Lacoste, Apple Store, Arby’s, Under Armour. Maybe you can invite some of the store owners in Ala Moana Shopping Center to consider putting up a branch in Ka Makana Alii.
I’m picturing Ka Makana Alii a sort of a one-stop-shop, with high-end, mid and affordable shops that will cater to all class of shoppers. Much like in the Philippines where you can even find the biggest shopping mall in Asia, such that you don’t have to go anywhere else coz you’ll find all you need and want in just one place.
