Lalea at Hawaii Kai – Home Sweet Home

As a realtor and owner in Lalea, I would like to tell you a little about the wonderful neighborhood I call home. First off, I recognize and appreciate that we have some of the lowest maintenance fees in Hawaii Kai. In addition, we have a refreshing saltwater pool with a clubhouse and barbecue grills that may be used for parties and gatherings. I have hosted many birthday parties and barbecues at the pool and feel blessed to have this lovely space.

What I Love About Lalea

We have lots of green space, including Gazebo Park that has additional barbecue grills. My husband makes a wonderful salmon on the grill, which is one of our favorite dinners. All of these amenities, in addition to the great public schools, are what attract buyers to our neighborhood, but what really stands out are the people of Lalea. We are a diverse group including young couples with babies, retired couples, families with children of all ages such as my own family, nurses, doctors, police officers, hotel workers, teachers, and my favorite estate lawyer as well. This diversity of people make a great mix of neighbors.

Many here are pet owners, and Lalea is definitely a pet-friendly neighborhood. You will almost always see someone out walking their beloved dog and socializing with neighbors along the way.

When we bought in Lalea more than 25 years ago, I looked out my bedroom window towards a beautiful grassy area in front of my unit and loved the view. Back then, I never imagined looking out that window and watching my children play and grow up. The joy this neighborhood has brought my family and me is something that we as realtors never really talk about, but I know firsthand that you can’t put a dollar amount on what this neighborhood means to us.

Looking to Move to Lalea?

One to four bedroom townhomes in Lalea range in price from $500,000 to $800,000, and the most desirable unit is the 2/2 downstairs single level unit.

If you’re looking for a great neighborhood, please give me a call.
