Kiinani Place – The Heart Of The Homesteads

Aloha from the Halladay + Harrington Group!

Our most recent listing is this beautiful home nestled in the heart of the Wailua Homesteads on the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai. Here are some of the reasons why we love this home.

Location, Location, Location!

The East side of Kauai holds a strong advantage in regards to location. A ten minute drive will get you to Kapaa Town, where nearby shopping and restaurants are accessible. Beautiful beaches such as Kealia and Wailua will take about 15 minutes. However if you want to head North or South Side of the Island, you can get there in under an hour.  It is very centrally located for enjoying all of Kauai. A five minute drive from this property will get you to the Wailua Park, which also has a gated 1.5-acre dog park for your furry friends to roam freely. Right down the street from the park is the Country Store, making snacks and drinks accessible without a drive into town. Deep in the Homesteads and a short drive from this property will lead you to a hidden gem known as the Hindu Monastery.

This home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood. The location does not get much better for hikers and trail runners, as it is walking distance from the West side of Sleeping Giant trailhead.

Imagine if this was the view from the top of your daily walk?!

Sleeping Giant Trail – Sunrise photo

While this trail may not be long — it is a sure way to get the heart rate up! While the hike can be accessed at any time, there is an exhilarating rush hiking this trail for sunrise. In order to hike this trail for sunrise, waking up in the dark is necessary. Make sure all appropriate hiking gear is packed as well as a headlamp and water. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the top. When you approach the platform with the bench, you have climbed the majority of the mountain! Views for sunrise are visible here, as well as a bench to take a breather and enjoy some snacks. For those wanting a little extra thrill for the morning, the remainder of the hike can be climbed in approximately 10-20 minutes. Soon after, orange and yellow hues glisten the ocean rays — while the glorious warmth of a new day gives us a gratifying experience of what living on Kauai feels like.

Lanai Views

This spacious lanai allows ample room for entertainment with an array of possibilities this space can be utilized for. Sunsets here over the Waialeale mountains provide a picturesque view in the evenings, while during the day panoramic views of the mountains are equally glorious.

Clawfoot Bathtub

This clawfoot tub brings an extra charming touch to the bathroom. After a long day and hiking the Sleeping Giant, who doesn’t want to unwind with their feet up, listening to the birds outside or relaxing music?

Converted Office Space with Private Entry

This converted office space includes a bedroom, bathroom, outdoor shower, and kitchenette. With a separate entrance providing an abundance of privacy — this space can be used in a myriad of ways to accommodate a variety of needs.

Private, Fenced Backyard

A gated fence in this backyard allows space for a pets to roam and play. For those who like to get their hands dirty, setting up their own garden while enjoying access to mature fruit trees is an added bonus. This property includes both a banana and an orange tree — providing for a true Kauai experience of enjoying fruit right off the tree.

Income Potential

With a combined income of $3400 a month between the two spaces, this property makes it an ideal investment possibility, or would also be a great residence with room to spread out and many possibilities.
