On Kauai’s South Shore lies the Kiahuna Golf Club, a lush golf course steeped in natural beauty and rich history. As you drive along Kiahuna Plantation Drive, the club’s palm-lined main road, the tropical trees that escort you make it clear that you’re headed somewhere exceptional.

Tucked away at the end of Kiahuna Plantation Drive is Kiahuna Golf Village, an incredible subdivision built in 1978. An established neighborhood with plenty of open space, Kiahuna Golf Village is one of the South Shore’s best real estate opportunities. As for the palm trees lining the road, they were planted in the 1990s by a homeowner with a vision to make Kiahuna Golf Village the special, luxurious place that it is today.

Minutes Away from Poipu’s Best

Boasting larger lots than many other Koloa subdivisions, Kiahuna Golf Village allows short-term vacation rentals, which make up less than ⅓ of the sites here. With mature landscaping and an open, grassy area where we have summer picnics, the neighborhood has an air of nostalgia to it that I love.

Kiahuna Golf Village is a bike ride away from everything Poipu has to offer without being directly in the middle of it! Nearby, there are so many shops and restaurants to enjoy, endless outdoor activities, sunny Poipu Beach, and other top-rated beaches to explore.

Ample Open Space & Aesthetically-Pleasing Style

The village’s lots back up to a generous-sized greenbelt, so you won’t find homes backing up to each other here. With large parcels of land — some at nearly 10,000 square feet — Kiahuna Golf Village’s lots are coveted for their usable backyards.

Currently, there are over 90 sites and only 4 vacant sites are left. Between the greenbelt, the golf course, and the ample open space, it’s hardly a surprise that this subdivision is mostly built out.

According to the village’s design guidelines, houses here can be no more than one and a half-story homes, which further enhances the neighborhood’s aesthetically-pleasing style. And county zoning allows owners to vacation rent their Kiahuna Golf Village home if it will not be a full-time residence, making the subdivision even more appealing. These are just a few reasons it’s hard to come by a house for sale in Kiahuna Golf Village.

As someone who loves living and working here, I’m in a great position to keep an eye on changes in the market and maximize real estate opportunities. At the moment, I do have one vacant lot listed in Kiahuna Golf Village for $700,000 and it is currently in escrow. In general, homes here hover around $2 million or beyond. And since this is one of the South Shore’s most sought-after subdivisions, Kiahuna Golf Village sellers will find strong demand from buyers willing to pay higher prices at this time.

While some buyers live on the West Coast and intend to buy a second home on the South Shore, many are trading up… and Kiahuna Golf Village is their end goal!

In Hawaiian, Kiahuna means “the key to a hidden secret,” and with its palm trees swaying in the trade winds and room to breathe, it’s clear that sunny Kiahuna Golf Village is aptly named.
