Kauai’s Beautiful Year Round Weather Makes it an Ideal Place to Vacation

Almost every time I show properties for sale on beautiful Kauai, clients ask me, “does this house have heat or air conditioning?” I know that this is a very mind-boggling concept for some, but the breezy answer is NO!

No Need For Heat or A/C on Kauai

The North Shore of Kauai has some of the most beautiful year round weather in America. Right now, as I write this and the rest of the country is turning up the heat, I am sitting on a lanai (back porch), overlooking the ocean in the middle of winter – and it is 75 degrees with a light breeze. At night the weather gets down into the mid 60’s, but it really never gets cold or hot enough here to have heat or A/C.

The way it works here, if it’s chilly, close the windows, if it’s hot, open them up. Constant balmy trade winds make it truly heavenly – and you save a fortune on all those heating and air conditioning bills you would have anywhere else. Occasionally, a few homes have a lovely fireplace, more for ambiance than warmth, or an A/C unit for those 3 days a year when it’s on the warmer side.

Yes, living on Kauai really is paradise found. And your new island home awaits you…

Yes, I get that same question and raised eyebrow response from clients not used to perfect weather 🙂 My heating solution for those few chilly nights is a pair of socks…
