Kapalua Golf Villas – Decrypting the Code of How Units are Numbered

If you ever been to Kapalua Golf Villas, you might have been puzzled by how the units are numbered. You may have wondered how to find unit 14T67, for example, or what floor it’s on. The codes can be broken down into three sections. Below is the quick explanation:

The First Section

Kapalua Golf Villas buildings are numbered 11 thru 27 (but there is no number 13). The first number indicates the building the unit is in.

The Second Section

The letter following the building number shows you where the unit is located in the building:

P = Patio. This is the first level of the building, usually accessible by 2 to 3 sets of stairs ( total of 10 to 15 steps). All units on the P level are 2 bed units. Buildings 22 thru 27 offer various degrees of ocean views from P level units.

T = Terrace. This is the second level of the building, yet it is the most accessible from the carport or driveway and thus the best floor for those that do not want any stairs to their unit. Floorplans available at this level are 1bd/1.5ba, 1bd/2ba and 2bd/2ba. There are only FIVE 2bd/2ba units located on this level, which makes them very desirable. I am currently listing unit 14T67 with beautiful golf course views and many upgrades, for $880,000. For ocean views from T level units, you will have to look for buildings 17 thru 27.

V = Vista. The top floor of the building offers 1bd/1.5 ba and 2bd/2ba floor plans. V units are also accessible by two sets of stairs (total of 10 to 15 steps). Most of the units on V level have ocean views.

The Third Section

The last digit(s) indicate the unit number. Two digits show that the unit has two doors for access, allowing a “lock off” or rental of a portion of the apartment.

While the numbering of Kapalua Golf Villas may be complicated, living here is easy and enjoyable. With a choice of world-class beaches (Napili Bay, Kapalua Bay, DT Fleming Beach), walking trails, golf courses, restaurants, and spas, what else could you wish for on Maui?
