Iselle & Julio Arrived on Maui – We Are So Happy

Hurricane Iselle and Hurricane Julio delivered two blessings over the weekend here on Maui. After the all-clear sounded, we drove to our North Shore cattle ranch to check on the herd. Despite the storm, the cows carried on as usual. We were happily surprised to find two new calves had been born, standing on their wobbly legs. We’re calling the little girl Iselle, and the little boy Julio.

I tell you, these cows have a great life on Maui. They live on an oceanfront ranch where they can graze year-round on lush green grass. There’s plenty of big shade trees and lots of fresh water. For the most part, there is very little maintenance involved, as they don’t need help with birthing or withstanding the elements. They don’t even need a man-made shelter.

Yes, life can be pretty sweet on the North Shore of Maui. Haiku has such a mild climate that you won’t need heating or cooling systems in your home. Just like the cows, you will be able to enjoy your fresh greens every day of the year. Bask in the shade of a big old tree and feel the cooling trade winds caressing your face.
