Why a Real Estate Agent Should Choose Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers – How I Arrived at Hawaii Life

To every Realtor out there, yes, you, you know who you are; the Realtor who is looking for something more than themselves, a company to believe in, an ethical company, a broker and company that is at the forefront of real estate technology, forward thinking, new, innovative, and exciting! You know you want it, so here is the skinny.

Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers just acquired Koa Properties to become the number one real estate brokerage on Kauai. We just outdid our 2010 sales volume in July of 2011, in a down market! So, why not Hawaii Life?

Why the heck did I, Caron A. Ling, Realtor and CRS, decide to join Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers? I was fine where I was at, as successful as anyone could be with my level of experience, and ready to take over the world! Just kidding. I know you all are wondering. Sometimes, I even wonder that myself. Although, I do know why.

As most of you know, I am “out there;” I do what feels right, and go with the energy and the flow of my life as I know it. I almost never seem to make sense, although to me and those who know me, I make “perfect” sense. As my very good friend once said to me, “Caron, you embrace that ‘inner hippie.'”

I loved my previous company, broker, and friends, but something changed, the energy changed, I changed. In one moment, I felt that something was about to change in real estate as well, and I wanted to be that change, or at least be around it.

When I think “Hawaii Life” I think of cool breezes, palm trees, and great people to enjoy those with. In search of a true destination after a long journey, I still hadn’t made a decision until I thought of what felt like “home.” Homes are what we help people buy or sell everyday, but if you yourself aren’t at “home,” how can you ever hope to help anyone else find it?

I knew I made the right move once everything started happening magically; clients wanted to list their properties, friends wanted to buy homes, and now, I have the best tools to help them with AND the people who support me doing it. I can’t sell you on Hawaii Life, it has to be your own decision. This may not be the right place for just anyone, and trust me, they DO NOT take just any real estate agent. They take the ones with heart, good energy, and a zest for life. This may not seem important now, but one bad apple can really spread and change the energy.

I know that every place I considered had its pros and cons. Hawaii Life has as little cons as possible. Honestly, I can’t think of anything. They have great marketing, great leadership, and great ranking on the organic search.

Some more pros:

  • Ranked #9 as far as real estate companies in the State of Hawaii
  • Always nominated for Inman Technology Awards (our Principal Broker is there and speaking as we speak)
  • Leadership in HAR and Island Board of Realtors
  • Number one real estate brokerage on Kauai
  • Most importantly, good people, who want you to succeed as an individual agent

They even have enough foresight to know they will only keep you if you are happy. Every tool they have is something that is not unique to them, but you are able to use the same programs and formats elsewhere. We live in a society and industry that changes constantly, almost as often as our moods.

To me, this is stability, this is home, and yet, it is ever changing, and I want to be apart of something epic. Don’t we all? Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers is epic beyond what I can ever say in words. Be epic, or go home…that should be their motto.

Caron,

These are very heartfelt words for those of us who made the same move. People think we are a cult. We actually are; a cult of incredible synergy, dedication to excellence and ethics, with a cultural of sharing and teamwork.

Please help David Buck grow Oahu with more great agents with similar values. Our success is just as “organic” as our search rankings.

We continue to grow and build, based on top notch leadership and support from Matt Beall, Winston Wellborn, and Justin Britt.

Love it! I hope everyone who reads this can feel the vibe that I felt the moment I met Katie and Matt. I’m with you on the “cult” of synergy Tracy. I totally wanted to be part of the Hawaii Life “in-crowd,” but didn’t know if Matt would take me. It seemed like he wanted “great” agents… Lol, need to work a little harder! Just kidding, although, Matt is serious about those great agents, he sees potential in us… And in you, future Hawaii Life agent!
