Holua Kai – Keauhou’s Brand New Neighborhood!

Did you know there’s a brand new neighborhood being built in Keauhou on the Big Island? If not, it’s time to check out Holua Kai, Brookfield’s newest development in Hawaii.

Holua Kai at Keauhou

A few weeks ago, I dropped into the sales office for Holua Kai, located just south of the Sheraton Hotel in Keauhou. After winding through the Wyndham Mauna Loa and driving past the Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village, I turned the corner into what is certainly a hidden gem of oceanfront and golf-front homes in South Kona — the neighborhood of Holua Kai.

While the Brookfield name is synonymous with quality, what I wasn’t expecting was how far along building and sales have come in such a short period of time, and the overall charm of the neighborhood. Over one-third of the community has been sold, the recreation center/community pool is under construction, and there were plenty of residents who not only greeting each other by name in the street, but were already clearly moved in and completely established.

Oceanfront & Golf-Front Homes

Let’s talk oceanfront for a moment. These homes sites are spectacular. This is the view from a Hawaii Life client currently with an oceanfront home currently under construction. There is a “secret path” to the beach (it’s a secret, so I’m not telling you here!) and apparently, the waters right offshore offer some of the best, most consistent and most fruitful shore, kayak and boat fishing on the Kona coast. No wonder there are several professional and semi-professional fishermen and women moving into Holua Kai!

Garden homes start at *$790,000*, golf view homes start at *$998,000* and oceanfront homes start at *$2,150,000*.
