Tis the season to enjoy festive lights, parades, craft fairs, holiday cheer, and more. Hi Everyone, this is Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life Real. Below are some holiday happenings here in Oahu.

Honolulu City Lights

The highly anticipated Honolulu City Lights goes bright on December 7th. Mayor Kirk Caldwell will lead the official tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., he will illuminate the city’s 50-foot holiday tree, triggering the lights and displays that adorn the city grounds.

The 23rd Annual Festival of Lights Boat Parade

The 23rd Annual Festival of Lights Boat Parade at Hawaii Kai Towne Center will start at 3 PM on December 7th. Take part in the holiday tradition at the marina as boats decorated with colorful lights cruise by the waterway.

The Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade

The Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade on December 7, marks the 76th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Marching bands from across the country join together in Hawaii as they make their way from Fort DeRussy to the Waikiki Shell. The opening ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. at Fort DeRussy Park, and the parade begins at 6 p.m.

Aloha Home Market: Hana Hou Holiday Market

Looking for amazing made in Hawaii gifts? Check out the Aloha Home Market: Hana Hou Holiday Market. Join the holiday festivities at Aloha Home Market December 8th from 9 am – 2 pm in the covered lot by Assagio’s in Kailua.

Honolulu Marathon

The Honolulu Marathon takes place on December 8th starting at 5 am. The 26.2-mile course is Hawaii’s largest marathon, which attracts runners from around the world.

Mele Kalikimaka Marketplace

The Mele Kalikimaka Marketplace will be held on December 14th and 15th at the Blaisdell. There will be local products, pop up shops, food sampling, live entertainment, Native Hawaiian arts and crafts, and free photos with Santa and Rudolph.

Hawaii’s Holiday Craft & Gift Fair

Hawaii’s Holiday Craft & Gift Fair takes place on December 20th, 21st, and 22nd at the Blaisdell. Over 250 vendors will be selling everything you need to fill your holiday shopping list.

Haleiwa Store Lots

Visit Santa at the Haleiwa Store Lots on December 22nd at 2 PM. Shop for those last-minute gifts, enjoy family entertainment and activities, and take pictures with Santa!

Mililani’s Pineapple Drop

Ring in the New Year at Mililani’s Pineapple Drop featuring Kimberley Locke. Enjoy family entertainment, starting at 5 p.m at the Towne Center at Mililani. At 7 p.m., midnight New York time, the spectacular 12-foot tall pineapple descends, glowing with more than 2,000 bulbs, synced with the Times Square Garden Ball Drop.
