The community of Hanalei is lucky to have two weekly farmers’ markets offered, Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Both markets feature vendors that carry a variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables. Some of the featured produce includes mixed greens, tomatoes, citrus, mangos, papayas, lychee, sweet potato, coconuts, avocados, pineapples, and bananas. Specialty food vendors are also on site, offering freshly prepared and packaged foods like hummus, bread, granola, cheese, pies, juice, and salsa. Artisan booths carry Kauai made arts and crafts. Bringing your own basket or bag to contain all the yummy loot you purchase is highly recommended and, as a bonus, is good for the environment.
