What makes your neighborhood special? Do you have friendly neighbors? A strong sense of community? Does your neighborhood foster a sense of belonging?
A strong sense of community and belonging makes you feel more connected to your surroundings and contributes to your mental and emotional well-being. When you feel connected to your community, you’ll feel happier. And, more at home.
I’ve been writing a series of blogs on my neighborhood, Hawaii Kai. I definitely feel connected to my community and am grateful to live in such an awesome place. There are tons of reasons why I love where I live and today, I want to highlight just one more reason why I love living in Hawaii Kai – Hapa Heaven Salon & Spa.
Hapa Heaven is owned by Raynette Hall, who is always warm and welcoming. Her small business is a vital part of our community, bringing fresh ideas and innovative products to our local market. Whether you’re in need of a mani-pedi, a massage, or a new doo, you’ll love this sweet spot located at the Koko Marina Shopping Center in Hawaii Kai.
One of the things you’ll notice at Hapa Heaven are the smiling faces of the talented stylists, manicurists, and technicians. Everyone is so friendly and kind. And talented! Hapa Heaven has attracted some of the best in the field, so it’s no surprise that many of Hawaii Kai’s local residents are frequent visitors.
I’ve been going to Hapa Heaven since its inception and have known both Vivian and Tracy for years. They’re two of Hawaii Kai’s finest and both are excellent at their craft. Of course, there are many talented professionals at Hapa Heaven who offer an array of services. Do you want a massage? Are you in need a wax? A new hairstyle or a pedicure? Look no further – Hapa Heaven is the perfect go-to place if you need a little pampering.
Feeling connected to your community matters and when you visit Hapa Heaven Salon, you’ll connect with some of Hawaii Kai’s best. And, you’ll leave feeling happier and more beautiful.

you are absolutely right. I feel the exact same way after 50 years in the business, two salons, one after the other and many other salons. I’ve worked in. Hapa Heaven is by far one of the best places I have worked in with other stylist. Everyone really cares for one another , we do have one big happy family . I am so happy to be there. Thank you for that glorious blog. It was nice to read and see that other people like you enjoy the atmosphere and comfort of coming to a place where the environment is what you enjoy. Raynette works so hard to keep that salon going, and I have very high respect for that. Thank you again.
