Hawaii Homeowners – The Real Value of Your Home

I recently read a survey of homeowners, by Bankrate.com, showing that an amazing 90% of homeowners have no regrets about the purchase of their current home. One main reason—they like their homes.

Though there may be lower values in many areas, and bargains on mortgage interest they did not get, they are still satisfied with their own place. Some of them may be feeling a little beat up owning a home, but for the majority, they still love the idea of owning a home.

Another survey, this one by lender Fannie Mae, indicates that 70% of consumers still see a home as one of the best investments. To others, a home is more than just an investment—homeowners make history in their homes, family history, have memorable souvenirs, and as a result, the real value of their homes to them far exceeds the price someone would pay for it.

Conclusion: the real value of your home is that it is your home.
