Hawaii Home Buyers: Location First, Zillow Scrolling Second!

🏡 Would you buy a house so perfect it could be located in San Diego, down the street from Disneyland in Anaheim, or on Big Bear Lake? No? Exactly my point! 

🛑 Because no matter how nice the house is, if it’s in the wrong place, it’s the wrong house.🛑 

But this is exactly what people do when they are scrolling on Zillow and falling in love with properties that are located in the exact location they would never want to be.   

One of the biggest mistakes buyers make is not committing to a location before looking at homes. 

I get it—Hawaii is gorgeous everywhere. 🏝️ 

But lifestyle matters. 

Do you want to be steps from the sand or just close enough to pretend you’ll start surfing?  🌊

Do you want resort-style energy or a quiet neighborhood where your neighbors are mostly chickens? 🐔

Without figuring this out first, you’ll waste time looking at homes that don’t fit your life. 

Poipu alone has a huge range of options. If you want income from a vacation rental and resort amenities Koloa Landing or Poipu Sands might be perfect. If you’re picturing a private home with room for paddleboards, beach gear and no vacation rentals in sight, Koloa Estates or Poipu Aina Estates could be a better fit. The wrong location is just a very expensive inconvenience. 

The fix? Narrow it down before you start falling in love with listings. That way, when the right home comes up, you’ll know it’s the one—not just a beautiful house that happens to be 20 minutes from where you actually want to be.

Trust me, some listings are basically catfishing and if you don’t know what that is have some fun and google it!
