Sandy Beach
Sandy Beach has a long stretch of sand, rocks, tide pools and crabs to chase and gives your pet tons of fun, exercise. Our dog, Lilikoi, especially loves trying to hunt fish in the tide pools, even though she never catches any. In the evenings, the lighting is amazing and the temperature drops to a comfortable temperature.
At lower tides you can walk to the right – all the way to Halona Cove.
Portlock Beach
Portlock Beach is a small, laid back beach off Portlock Road in Hawaii Kai. Beautiful at sunset, it is usually never busy and what’s more amazing than a private Hawiii Sunset sunset.
Here your pet will find small crabs running all over the sand and fun shallow water to play in.
Makapuu Lighthouse Trail
Makapuu Lighthouse Trail is a paved hike to wonderful views of Rabbit Island and Makapuu Beach. Mornings or evenings are best so the pavement isn’t too hot for sensitive paws.
It’s a great exercise for you and your pet and the views are worth the 30-minute walk.
