For the Love of Wine

Clos Du Val vineyards in the Stag’s Leap District of Napa Valley, one of the hardest hit regions. Fortunately, they did not sustain damage, however, many neighboring wineries and vineyards did.

Several days ago, just prior to the start of the devastating fires in Northern California’s world-acclaimed wine country, I had the privilege of sharing the judging panel for “To Live and Dine 2017” with Hawaii native Amy Hanaiali‘i at The Modern Honolulu. Amy is the owner of Hanaiali‘i Wines in Napa Valley.

While the wine country fires are diminishing now, thousands of residents have been affected and face a challenging and long road to recovery. We can all help support their efforts by purchasing bottles of vino from these appellations. Even if you don’t imbibe, wine makes a fabulous gift! These regions are among the most beautiful and unique in the country. Did I mention the food? Undeniably, among the very best in the world. Be sure to plan a visit soon.

In the meantime, among my current listings are outstanding estates with spacious temperature-controlled wine rooms. Make one of them yours and you’ll have no worries about where to store the newly purchased treasures!
