Don’t Miss The Maui Plein Air Painting Event Happening Now

Every February on Maui, you will see artists from around the world, painting on location for the Maui Plein Air painting invitational. The 15th annual event is underway in 2020 with 24 artists capturing the beauty of Maui, starting with a Lahaina Harbor paint-out.

During the week, view paintings and attend the lecture on “Famous Forgers” at the Pioneer Inn. Above, views of Lahaina on display in the Pioneer Inn courtyard.

Kapalua Bay

On Wednesday afternoon, February 19th, you won’t want to miss the Kapalua Bay paint out and art sale at the picturesque Montage at Kapalua Bay — the event will be at the Breezeway Galleries from 6:30 to 8pm.

Friday evening, February 21st, is a fun gala with Maui chocolate tasting and a champagne reception. See how our island has been captured by the artists over the 9 days during the events all weekend long at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

39 Papaua Place

Maui’s colors, vistas, and architecture provide endless inspiration for artists. When I work with people who buy or sell a Maui property, I love to gift them a painting of their home! It’s the best closing gift ever — a gift that keeps on giving.

For instance, I recently sold this spectacular home located at 39 Papaua Place, and I was so happy with this painting I commissioned from Ronaldo Macedo… Just imagine the sellers back home at their farm in Texas eternally enjoying the views over Molokai!

Above: an original oil painting depicting a Front Street, Lahaina home that a client of mine recently purchased. We had so much fun finding the perfect home for her on Maui, I gave her this painting as a closing gift.

If you would like to hear more about having your Maui luxury home commemorated in an oil painting by one of Maui’s top plein air painters, contact me for details 808-280-1390. A hui hou!
