Biki Bikes in Honolulu

Reason #785 of why I love to live in Honolulu. Biki Bikes! These were recently installed in the Honolulu core and have quickly become a huge hit.

The Honolulu bike share program is so exciting to me. I recently came back from a trip to Europe, where I biked all over the city on similar rental bikes. The convenience was great. Unlike a traditional bike, where the owner has to ride the bike to and from the destination, Biki bikes can be rented from one location, and dropped off in another.

Many people these days are looking to ditch their cars in their day to day lives. People want to be active and spend as little time in traffic as possible. The popularity of condos in Kakaako, is a prime example of this trend. People are moving into condos, and away from the suburbs and longer commutes, for the convenience. With the beach, grocery stores, restaurants, theaters, amenities, shopping, all in this beautiful neighborhood, residents can leave their cars parked. Biki bikes add to that convenience, allow for a healthy lifestyle, and serve as an alternative to cars.

The Biki bike share program currently extends from Waikiki to Downtown with many bike stations in the area. Residents of the urban core of Honolulu can easily ride from place to place, without worrying where to tie up or store their own bikes. For many, owning a bike or multiple bikes, is simply just not possible, due to space constraints, or a lack of a bike facilities in the condos. Biki solves that problem.

Biki has a on the go and monthly payment options to fit everyone’s needs.

Don’t forget to download the Biki app to conveniently view all the Biki drop off locations and bike availability in real time. iOS and Android
