Anaha: Howard Hughes Corporation’s New Development in Kaka‘ako Is Coming Along

Hawai‘i Life Real Estate Brokers was fortunate enough to get an up and personal look at one of the newest luxury condos in Kaka‘ako currently in development. We recently were taken on personalized hardhat tour of Anaha, a 38-floor tower with suites that offer sweeping views of the ocean, Diamond Head, or the Ko‘olau Mountains, depending the unit selected.

Anaha is located on the Diamond Head side of the 60-acre, master-planned community of Ward Village. The Howard Hughes vision is one where all your needs for activity, entertainment, shopping, and dining should be met without ever getting into your car. A flagship Whole Foods (with expected completion in 2018) will be at the center of it all, along with a 4-acre community park.

Nearby Kewalo Harbor will be revitalized as well. Residents will be able to rent surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks, or go snorkeling or boating if you choose. It will be a community that focuses on a healthy, active lifestyle for Honolulu residents.

There are 317 residences offered at Anaha, and the project is over 90% sold out. Only a few more 2 and 3 bedroom units are left, in addition to some of the Penthouse residences.

The amenities offered here will be unlike any other building on Oahu, and will include an indoor golf simulator plus a sand volleyball court within the 1-acre deck area. Anaha will also feature the standard luxury amenities such as a billiards room, tennis court, and putting green. There will be a Howard Hughes Bar and the much anticipated, award-winning Merriman’s Restaurant, with locations on the other Hawaiian Islands, but the first for Oahu.
