My husband and I recently stopped in for lunch, and it absolutely lived up to the buzz.
As soon as you ascend the stairs and step into Alebrije, you’re greeted by the delightful aroma of fresh ingredients, the lively hum of conversation, and a splash of bold colors reminiscent of a Mexican fiesta. The restaurant’s décor is a celebration of culture, that make the space feel alive and inviting.

The menu at Alebrije features dishes that are both comforting and exciting. Each plate is crafted with care, from the flavorful tacos filled with perfectly seasoned meats and fresh toppings, to the rich, velvety mole that’s been simmered to perfection. The guacamole is a must-try.




Speaking of drinks, the bar at Alebrije is a showstopper in its own right. I am proud to say my husband’s hard work and amazing woodworking skills are still there from when it was Shiono. An extensive selection of tequilas and mezcals ensures that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a connoisseur or just looking for the perfect margarita. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through their menu of signature cocktails, each one more refreshing than the last.

The staff’s warm hospitality makes you feel like family, and the lively energy of the restaurant is infectious.
