A Quick Peek at the Diamond Head Area

In this blog post, I will show you the “Diamond Head” area of Oahu and I will give you a quick peek of a few spots for you to judge to see if this is the right side for you to buy your home and embrace your new lifestyle.

Kaimuki

This magical early twentieth-century neighborhood is one of my favorites around the island the people around here thrive on preserving their culture and embracing new generations and ideas, making this neighborhood a diverse and evergrowing place on the island.

If you are a foodie, stop looking, you have arrived home; this community has many ways to put a smile on your face and make your belly to dance, the good food might come from a mom-and-pop shop like Crack Seed or maybe a good casual restaurant like Koko Head Cafe.

The smell and tastes of the good food, with all of the beautiful art mixed with some of the best weather, makes Kaimuki the “all about the senses” neighborhood.

Keep It Kaimuki

Organizations like Keep It Kaimuki bring the neighborhood together. This organization promotes open communication and partnership between small businesses in Kaimuki.

Kaimuki is also part of “Street Art Hawaii” which is a movement created to help local artists promote their work in the street. Ugly walls or gray electrical boxes turned into beautiful art pieces all over Oahu.

Diamond Head

The location of this neighborhood is exciting from any angle, surrounded by the beauty of the sea, the crater, and a vibrant community.

Spending quality time with your loved ones, grocery shopping at the farmer’s markets, dancing at the different concerts, going for a dip while you enjoy the sunset or just walking your dog are some of the activities that you can enjoy thanks to the closeness to Kapiolani Park and Kaimanas beach.

Kahala

We can not skip the most luxurious neighborhood on the island. Large and affluent homes are part of the breathtaking scenery. Kahala is home of the famous Waialae Country Club in a community where money is not a problem and creativity is abundant providing those who live here with a true rockstar experience.

This blog post is part of a mini-series about Oahu. If you feel curious about any of these areas or you want more specific information about houses in the Diamond Head area. Feel free to call me, text me or email me. Whatever is more convenient for you.

As always, aloha!
