Invest in Maui Property Through Internet Purchase

Tis the season of the internet purchase. So why not invest in Maui property through internet purchase? I had to ask myself if HawaiiLife.com will become the Amazon of the Hawaii real estate world.

I think in many respects, Hawaii Life, along with many other real estate firms with prominent internet presences, already have become this. Our site has tons of eye candy. You can ask our customer service team all sorts of questions. But when time comes to get serious, one of our outstanding team of agents across the entire island chain will definitely guide you.

Invest in Maui Property Through Internet Purchase

This post is about how I help connect buyers and sellers with Maui property over many thousands of miles of the Pacific Ocean.

I absolutely love helping my fellow Kama’aina secure a property here. The vast majority of my business exists in the realm of resort real estate, where I assist clients from elsewhere around the world.

This post works in concert with its counter-post: How Technology Facilitates the Sale of Maui Properties Via the Internet.

Konea Pool

The Konea Pool at the Honua Kai Resort. I have written over 30 blog posts specifically about Honua Kai and have helped countless families around the world with securing their piece of Maui here. Experience it yourself with us here – Ka’anapali Vacation Rentals offered by The Stice Team & Hawaii Life.

This post was inspired by my wife who is flabbergasted that I continue to help people around the world. Help them close on Maui properties time and time again, even without having actually met my clients in person. In some instances, the property is never shown to them in person. Not until it has been officially closed and recorded.

My #1 source of business and the majority of these specific internet relationships have been established via customers reading my blog and reaching out to me.

I have always loved to write, thus it is a holistic approach for me.

By an internet purchase, I am not referring to an online auction purchase. I am also not trying to alienate any of those who are not comfortable purchasing assets entirely over the internet. As with any large purchase like this, I absolutely recommend that you make a physical trip out to Maui to view and inspect the asset(s) you are investing in. My point is that 94% of buyers start the buying process online. And with the technology/tools that we have now, we are able to leverage and capitalize on almost every single aspect of the process.

Jeremy and Megan proposal

My lovely wife Megan and I on Ka’anapali North Beach back in 2011 for our Proposal in Paradise

I’ve Got My Internet Bride For Life (Megan Rolling Her Eyes), Why Can’t I Be Your Internet Realtor For Life?

My single most rewarding real estate transaction stemmed from my very first internet inquiry from Hawaii Life that I was able to close.

In 2010, my now mother-in-law and her husband inquired on some property in Ka’anapali. We did much of the work over the web. Just like I recommend to all of my clients, Marie did make a trip to Maui and we looked at about 20 properties in 3 days. It’s a good thing too because she ended up finding a property they cared for. Much more than the one they wanted to write an offer on after just seeing it on the web.

The Proposal in Paradise

All the while we are looking at the property, she was teasing me. Showing pictures of her daughter, Megan, who became my wife in 2013. She was in her bikini leaning against palm trees, asking me if I knew any good guys whom I could introduce to her daughter in order to show her around the island. Like all facets of her life, Marie has a master plan for everything. Thus, she incepted the Proposal in Paradise.

Helping Both Buyers & Sellers Via the Internet

This post is primarily focused on buyers. But the message is equally powerful for sellers, and perhaps even more so because of the massive internet exposure that Hawaii Life and Christies Great Estates bring to the table.

Konea 225 Sold Image

As with many instances, I did not meet my seller clients in person until after selling their $900k oceanfront condo for them in Kahana, and then their second property at Konea #225 at Honua Kai which is a couple of months later. They were so gracious to share one of the strongest testimonials I have ever received. Read about the process here: The Stice Team Sells Honua Kai Property for 99% of Asking Price.

What Makes an Internet Purchase Work Successfully?

It really boils down to trust, which I feel is the #1 component in any real estate transaction. How do I build trust with people who I have never met before? I try to be as transparent as possible. I like to share stories about my life successes/failures, and I let those with whom I have worked for in the past speak on our experiences.

Furthermore, this is enhanced by my desire to help properly serve people who are in need. I love my calling as a Realtor, so I take great pride in my practice for which I am grateful to have the privilege to help those in need.

How Do I Build Trust with People Who I Have Never Met Before?

I was born and raised on the island of Maui and am proud to say that I am a 3rd generation Realtor. Obtaining my license in 2006 at 23 years old, my career started in the most challenging real estate cycle we have ever seen before. I have refined my practice and become increasingly more successful each coming year.

As stated before, I am honest and I try to be as transparent as possible. I like to share stories about my life successes/failures, and I let those with whom I have worked for in the past speak on our experiences. As with any product or service offered via the web, people do their research and they certainly do their homework on me before reaching out.

I am straight shooter with my clients. It is about education and service. Time and time again I do my very best to deliver as I take great pride in my profession.

Jeremy and Megan homeless shelter

My Facebook and Instagram accounts are public maybe despite my better judgement at times. Check me out here if you chose to. I have collected a few of the many testimonials that my clients have left for me and I am in the process of compiling all of these for my new website. But in the meantime, check out my Zillow profile.

I began blogging extensively in 2011 and have authored over 300 blog posts during this tenure. Feel free to check out both my Active Rain and HawaiiLife.com blog profiles.

A few word’s from some of my internet clients:

It is equally important to have someone you could trust and who has the highest level of integrity.

My husband and I have been going to Maui for almost 15 years. It is truly our paradise! We’ve been dreaming of owning a place there for years. We couldn’t have found a better person to help us realize that dream than Jeremy Stice!

We contacted Jeremy after reading his blog. It was clear from his blog that he knew the ins and outs of the market on Maui. He sent us detailed numbers so we knew what to expect. We’ve been in touch for over a year trying to find the perfect place. Jeremy listened to us and walked with us through this journey. It was important for us to have someone who knew the island and who would communicate with us in a timely manner, especially because we were here on the mainland. It is equally important to have someone you could trust and who has the highest level of integrity.

Jeremy is the best Realtor we’ve ever had.

My husband and I have done many real estate deals. We can say whole-heartedly that Jeremy is the best Realtor we’ve ever had. He is honest to the core. He was a step ahead of us on every issue. We asked Jeremy about a particular property. I was amazed that I had a video of the property in my inbox by that evening. He and his wife have since filmed several properties and sent them to us. And in fact, we put an offer on our new place, just by seeing the video. He negotiated very well for us and we couldn’t be happier with the deal.

We have chosen to use him and his wife Megan to manage our property. That process has been seamless. They’ve gone way above what we could have ever asked. It has been a bit of a challenge trying to renovate the condo from the mainland. They have been willing to help in every way. They have even let us ship packages to their house and put them in our condo. They’ve met contractors and gotten bids for us. We would highly recommend using Jeremy Stice to anyone looking to purchase a place on Maui or anyone who needs someone to manage their property on Maui.

You have definitely mastered this art. You have a good contact list of bankers and property managers that you were able to connect me with.

Jeremy,

I want to thank you for everything that you have done thus far for my wife and I. We are so glad that I viewed your website and eventually contacted you. I have built my entire career on providing timely responses to my clients’ questions and concerns. You have definitely mastered this art.

I must admit that it’s a bit scary considering the purchase of real estate without being there to view things. You have gone out of your way in answering all of our questions. You have a good contact list of bankers and property managers that you were able to connect me with.

The extra mile that you took in servicing us has meant a lot to us

The information that I was able to obtain was exactly what I was looking for. I can’t tell you enough how important the videos were that you sent us. No request or question went unanswered. When my wife was concerned about the direction the condo was facing and what type of sunlight we could expect, you quickly went to the property and sent us a video of the location of the sunrise and sunset. In fact, you took the video from the unit across from the one we were considering to give us a better prospective.

The extra mile that you took in servicing us has meant a lot to us. That extra mile has allowed us to feel 100% confident in our decision to purchase a unit at Honua Kai. Thanks again for everything!!

Honestly, with this house priced under $9 million, the homes in North Kohala priced above it will need to compete. Even though they come with more land, it is hard to see the premium.

Waterfall, elevator AND 9-seat home theater?? Sigh. What else does anyone need?? Except you and a SUP, of course! LOVE Kuki’o!!
