Oceanfront Kailua-Kona Home For Sale Under $1 Million

Does relaxing by the ocean from your own lanai sound like a good idea?

This lanai (MLS# 217717) overlooks a surf break and is adjacent to your private 800 sq. ft. pool

Two houses I’m now listing are just about the best deals I’ve ever seen in oceanfront or near-the-beach houses. I’ve been selling oceanfront residential property in Kona for 11 years, and these two properties have better prices for being near the water. Where else in Hawaii can you buy an oceanfront house for $950K? These houses are the lowest priced homes close to the water between Kona and Puako.

The oceanfront house was built in the 60’s, a time when they let you build very close to the water. From the front door, you can see right through to the surf. The private pool is tiled in cobalt blue–you can jump in the water early in the morning and watch whales and dolphins. Location is five houses from the sandy beach at Kahalu’u State Beach Park.

The house near the beach (MLS# 240888) is in Keauhou, a five minute drive from two beaches—one sandy and one pebbly. Keauhou Bay is perfect for sport fishing, stand-up paddling, and other water sports. And if you want to golf, there are courses at only a five-minute drive.

A generous backyard gives this house (MLS# 240888) privacy and possibilities at $550K

Heidi, we rented a house in the Kahalu’u neighborhood over Thanksgiving weekend and thought it just the perfect location. When we realized we’d forgotten a few items for our dinner, the supermarket at Keauhou was right there. Even the dog enjoyed strolling Alii Drive and meeting playmates at the parks.

Thanks, Beth, I love to rent this oceanfront for a week at my birthday and have for 4 years now. It could be habit forming! A vacation in town…you know, just screen my calls and take some well needed time off!!
