Big waves in Kona, full moon fun!
Hawaii has been getting great surf this year! Here I am enjoying some waves on my SUP…
I was having some fun as usual. This is one of my favorite spots at Kamoa Point, and what a fun last 3 weeks we have had! There are better spots to surf on the Big Island, but since I am usually back out of the water and at work by 9:30 a.m. this location is easiest for me.

We also just had a full moon this week, and Kona is such a sweet place to watch sunsets and full moon sets as they are always straight out in the middle of our horizons. Here is a shot on the full moon morning before my session at Kamoa.
It’s still dark as I sip my Kona coffee and wait for enough light to see what I am paddling into. I paddle out and go to the left or right depending which break I want each day. Yep, nearly everyday. I pinch myself each morning it’s so incredible. The sky, the water, the reef, the turtles, whales, or dolphins. Quite a dream!

Wow Heidi, Unbelievable price for an ocean front home with a pool. Some buyer is going to be very happy. (Almost as happy as you were on that wave!)
