The next Kapalua Wine & Chef Dinner is this Saturday at the Banyan Tree. Dinner is at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $225+ per person. The event features acclaimed chef Jojo Vasquez. The price includes a multi-course dinner paired with select wines. Chef Jojo Vasquez is known for his innovative fusion cuisine. He has had appearances on Iron Chef America and Beat Bobby Flay. Starry Night Cinema: Lilo & Stitch
Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents Starry Night Cinema this Friday night. This will be a free event for the community. The featured movie is Lilo & Stitch. Showtime is 7 pm and Gates open at 5:30 pm. Pre-show entertainment by Sunny Kalama and keiki activities before the movie starts. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
Maui Pops Orchestra – Hawaiian Soul
This month’s Maui Orchestra Pops features Paula Fuga. Renowned Hawaiian singer-songwriter Paula Fuga is celebrated for her soulful voice and heartfelt compositions that beautifully blend island roots with contemporary influences. This is sure to be a beautiful presentation of Hawaiian Music. Concert will be held on Sunday. Show time is 3 pm. Pre-concert food and beverage available for purchase from 1-3 pm.
Hawaiian ‘Awa Workshop: Growing, Harvesting and Preparation with Ka’iana Runnels

The Maui Nui Botanical Gardens is hosting a two session Hawaiian ‘Awa Workshop this this weekend. The workshop will runs 9 am – 12 pm on Saturday and 9 am – 3 pm on Sunday. Cultural practitioner Ka’iana Runnels of Moku o Keawe will lead the sessions. Attendees will learn to identify the heritage Hawaiian varieties of ‘awa, planting methods, pest and disease control and plant uses. They will also dig up ‘awa at MNBG, cut, clean, process and observe protocol as well as sample the fresh made ‘awa.
Sundays in the Country – Benny Uyetake & Jay Molina

Benny Uyetake & Jay Molina are the feature of this Sundays in the Country presentation! This Sundays in the Country is presented by Maui Brewing Company, Aloha Growers and Casanova Makawao. The series celebrates the history of live performances at Casanova’s in Makawao every Sunday from 1 – 3 pm. Doors open at 11:30 am. Special food and drink menu available during the show.
