Aloha friends! Maui has a full weekend ahead, with something for food lovers, comic fans, theatergoers, and anyone looking to connect with the community. From an oceanfront culinary celebration and a free pop-culture convention to live theater, Oktoberfest fun, and a meaningful gathering supporting restoration across our island, there are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy Maui. Here are a few happenings to add to your weekend plans!
Caviar, Pearls & Aphrodisiacs at Sheraton Maui

The Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival brings Caviar, Pearls & Aphrodisiacs to the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa on Saturday from 6 to 9 pm. Ten celebrated chefs will serve luxurious bites inspired by global culinary traditions and Hawai‘i-grown ingredients, with caviar, fresh shellfish, chocolate, fragrant spices, champagne, fine wines, and cocktails all part of the evening. The oceanfront grand tasting wraps up with a shimmering drone show over Kāʻanapali. The event is for ages 21 and older, and tickets are currently sold out, but a waitlist is available. Learn more and join the waitlist at Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival.
Celebration of Collaboration at Maui Beach Hotel
Valley Global invites the community to a Celebration of Collaboration banquet on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm in the Rainbow Dining Room at Maui Beach Hotel. The afternoon honors the partners, supporters, and volunteers behind regenerative restoration and mālama ʻāina efforts in Hawai‘i and beyond, including tree plantings at Lahainaluna schools and Maui Animal Farm, ecosystem restoration, and continued community support following the wildfires. Cultural icon and four-time Grammy winner Uncle George Kahumoku Jr. will be featured as guests gather for an afternoon of connection, gratitude, and celebration. Learn more and RSVP at Valley Global.
Maui Comic Con at UH Maui College

Maui Comic Con returns to the UH Maui College Kahului campus on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm both days. This free community celebration brings together comic fans, creators, collectors, and families for an artist alley, vendors, live music, and the Night Darling Cosplay Competition. Featured guests include Dan Brereton, Jackie Kong, Michael Bair, Catherine Staggs, Amanda Deibert Staggs, and James Silvani. Whether you love comics, cosplay, movies, or pop culture, it is a fun all-ages stop for the weekend. Learn more at Maui Comic Con.
The Toxic Avenger at ProArts Playhouse
ProArts Playhouse opens its 2026–27 theatrical season with The Toxic Avenger, a campy rock musical comedy running October 16–31 in Kīhei. Opening-weekend performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets range from $26.50 to $47.70, including fees. The two-hour show contains adult humor, language, cartoonish violence, strobe lighting, and fog effects, and is strongly recommended for ages 16 and older. Learn more and get tickets at ProArts Playhouse.
Brigit & Bernard’s Oktoberfest

Brigit & Bernard’s Garden Cafe is keeping Oktoberfest going this weekend with Friday and Saturday evening celebrations at 335 Ho‘ohana Street in Kahului. Doors open at 6 pm, with the live oompah band, German buffet, and Oktoberfest beers all part of the fun. The all-you-can-eat buffet is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity, with drinks and dessert extra; reservations are a good idea by phone or OpenTable. If you’re craving schnitzel, beer, and a little Bavarian-style fun on Maui, this is an easy one to add to the weekend list. Learn more at Brigit & Bernard’s Garden Cafe.
Anything Else This Weekend or Next?
I am always looking to promote other weekend activities for Maui organizations. If we are missing anything, drop me a line any time for future happenings. Mahalo!!!
