Aloha friends! This weekend has a little bit of everything happening across Maui, from music and cultural celebrations to community gatherings, paddling, food, wine, and ways to support local nonprofits. I’ve also included a quick real estate update and a few listings I’m watching, so you can stay connected to both island life and the market.
Jam with Kanekoa – Workshop
Kanekoa is hosting an Ukulele Workshop this Saturday at the Maui Coffee Attic this Saturday at 4 pm. This is an amazing opportunity to learn and jam with some of Maui’s best musicians! Jam with the band for about an hour and then enjoy a short concert for about 45 minutes following the workshop. Tickets $45.
Lahaina Homecoming
Lahaina Homecoming takes place this weekend, as a gathering rooted in reconnection, remembrance, and rebuilding. Organized by Festivals of Aloha and the Maui Economic Recovery Commission Healing Journey Team, the free community weekend welcomes Lahaina families and supporters back together with cultural programming, storytelling, resources, food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities at Lahaina Cannery Mall, Lahaina United Methodist Church, and Campbell Park. Hawaiian and Alaskan Airlines brought home 103 friends and family that were forced to leave after the fires.
Lahaina Homecoming begins with a Career Fair at Lahaina Cannery from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm on Friday, featuring local employers, community resources, and opportunities for residents and families. Friday night is Palengke Night from 5 – 10 pm featuring Jocelyn Enriquez. On Saturday, the day includes Pa‘ūpili from 10 am – 3 pm, with community programming, cultural demonstrations, local food, and family-friendly activities, followed by the Lahaina Ho‘olaule‘a from 5 – 10 pm. On Sunday, the weekend closes with the Lahaina Homecoming Celebration from 5 – 9 pm, offering more live entertainment, food, reflection, and community-centered gathering time as Lahaina continues its healing journey. Trilogy is offering kamaaina sails through the weekend for $20.

Rebel Souljahz at the MACC
Island reggae favorites Rebel Souljahz bring their Back 2 My Roots Tour to the MACC’s A&B Amphitheater on Saturday. Showtime at 7 pm, with gates opening at 6 pm. Tickets are $59 for general admission and $117 for VIP, with the VIP section offering standing access in front of the stage, dedicated restrooms, and VIP bars for the 21+ area. This is a general admission lawn-style concert with no seats provided, so blankets are okay but beach chairs, strollers, framed items, and outside food and beverages are not allowed. MACC is also asking patrons to bring non-perishable food donations for the Maui Food Bank.
Corks for a Cause – MAPA
deVine Wine Lounge partners with local nonprofits on some Sundays to give back to the community. 15% of proceeds from 4 – 7 pm will be donated. This week’s Corks for a Cause supports non-profit Maui Academy of Performing Arts. MAPA enriches the community through theatre, dance, music education, and live productions for students and audiences across Maui. This is a fun way to enjoy great food and wine while supporting local performing arts.
MCHCA Regatta Season
Saturday’s race, John M Lake, is hosted by Hawaiian Canoe Club and takes off from Kahului Beach Park. This will be an all-day event with races, food and community. Check out Hawaiian Canoe Club for Race Schedule and more.

Market Update
Uncertainty continues with Real Estate as non-residential owners are beginning to look elsewhere and regulations are hastening the process for them. Savvy Buyers have been identifying and scooping these opportunities. Will you be ready to buy? Many buyers on Maui are getting prequalified for loans now in anticipation of the market improving. Investors are refinancing to use equity lines to make cash offers which appeal to Sellers in multiple offer situations or using 1031 funds that have to be earmarked for real estate purchases.
