Born and raised on Kauai, I have lifelong ties to the real estate and construction industries here. My family moved to the Garden Island in 1969 to help a family member build a home, and my grandfather soon founded Blackwell Builders, which became a prominent general contracting business. In 1974, he also started Sleeping Giant Realty, now Oceanfront Sotheby's International Realty, where I hung my real estate license for the first 16 years of my career.
My dad, Curtis Law, began his Kauai construction career with my grandfather in the late 1960s. Soon after Hurricane Iwa in 1982, Blackwell Builders retired and Curtis Law Construction (www.CurtisLawConstruction.com) was born. I had the pleasure of learning skills such as estimating and project management from my dad, both of which continue to come in handy with current clients in need of help with home improvement and property management.
I earned my Real Estate Salesperson license in 2001 and my Real Estate Broker license in 2011. By working closely with only a few clients at a time, I am able to devote my full attention to their individual needs and focus on providing excellent customer service. I specialize primarily in residential sales, including every situation from first-time homebuyers to large private estates, but I truly love all things related to real estate: land, condos, short- and long-term property management, estate management, etc.
Currently serving as Vice President of the Kauai Board of Realtors, I maintain a strong commitment to honest, ethical and professional relationships with clients, vendors and community alike. I have also earned the distinctions of being identified as a Certified Residential Specialist, a Short Sales and Foreclose Resource, and an ePro (an online marketing and social media certification).
Most important to me as a real estate professional, though, is the fact that my clients often become friends and come back time and again for advice or representation. It’s my pleasure to serve the Kauai community with hard work, integrity, and a unique understanding of historical, cultural and rural preservation.
When I’m not hard at work for my clients, I enjoy travel, running, yoga, and yard/home improvement projects, and my “frecklefacefotography” Twitter and Instagram accounts give me a way to share my love of photography. I’m also the proud mom of a college student.
