Hawaii Five-O (Kame'e) Visits Manoa Real Estate

This past week’s episode started off with a young couple discovering a tent deep in Manoa Valley when they were trying to escape the rain. Manoa is definitely known for its rain, which is what makes everything so green. Inside the tent, they discover a body, which turns out to be a Navy Seal.

Historic homes such as this (MLS# 1110839) are quite common in Manoa

Meanwhile, McGarrett and his mentor, Joe White, are practicing their shooting at Kaneohe Marine Base. When they find out about the Navy Seal turning up dead, Joe immediately knew something was suspicious and asks McGarrett to reopen an investigation, which was made to look like a suicide.

As last, bad news came through for Kono on the last episode; Chin Ho met up with her at her home (which also appears to be in Manoa) to encourage her that she can still fight to get back on Five-O. Unfortunately, she was still pretty devastated.

McGarrett, Joe, and Chin Ho go to the camp scene in Manoa Valley to investigate and come across a “cash crop” operation deep in the valley, where it appears the Seal stumbled upon a marijuana operation. I’ve heard rumors about there being “stashes” back there growing up here, however, not sure how true…

Meanwhile, Dano and Lori go to interview the Seal’s wife at home (which also looked like a typical 50’s home in Manoa). As the team regroups, they find out another Navy Seal turns up dead in a car accident (that was staged to look like an accident). Joe and McGarrett then go to the Navy Seal training center to look for some answers.

Since their roster is classified, the instructor asked to meet them at a tiki bar off base. That tiki bar looked a lot like La Mariana’s we wrote about in an article last year. At the tiki bar, they’re given an old newspaper that talked about a Navy Seal team taking out a drug cartel. It appears these “accidental” deaths are the works of the drug cartel’s revenge. They are able to get a lead that the next hit will take place on a Seal member that is going skydiving.

This Mokuleia property (MLS# 1109253) is minutes from the air strip where the skydiving was shot

The drug cartel’s hit man attempted to set up another “accident” by drugging the Seal and pushing him out of the plane. McGarrett swoops in from diving off another plane to save the Seal, and meanwhile, the Five-O Team is awaiting the assassin back at the air strip in Mokuleia.

The episode ends when the Five-O Team gets a real time witness to a Navy Seal Team taking out the drug cartel’s leadership. It gave me chicken skin, as I’m sure it was similar to what our brave soldiers did when they took out Osama Bin Laden earlier this year…
