Perfect House For Sale – Surf "Jaws" Maui

“Jaws,” also known as Peahi, is one of the most incredible surfing locations in the entire world. I have personally seen surfers be towed by high powered jet skis into waves as high as 80 ft. at this location, no joke. Individuals, such as Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama, are considered by many to be the pioneers of this extreme surfing.

Until very recently, most surfers were relying on the power of jet skis to put them in position to catch these massive waves because it is extremely difficult to reach the speeds necessary to “drop in” on these huge waves traveling at very fast speeds. This is until now when Maui’s own Ian Walsh, with whom I grew up here on the North Shore, decided that he would take it to the next level braving these giants and paddling into them.

Big mahalo to one of my best buddies, Justin Clark, for this awesome footage of Ian Walsh and Shane Dorian who is also from Hawaii and hails from the Big Island. Follow Ian and Justin at their blog. For those who aren’t very familiar with big wave surfing, this is simply one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life.

The level of skill, determination, and courage required to do this is off the charts – only a few individuals in the entire world can do this without killing themselves. Speaking of the North Shore and surfing, I just wanted to let you know about Bill Foote, who is also an avid surfer and one of Maui’s best board shapers.

Bill makes great boards, I just purchased two SUP boards, one for myself and my fiance Megan, as Maui is the perfect place for stand-up paddling, this blog has some awesome footage that I recently shot. The Stice Team is exclusively representing Bill Foote on the sale of his house at 105 Hohani Place, which was just reduced from $699,000 to $650,000, and is now a screaming deal. This house is a 5 minute drive from Jaws.

Every time I show buyers this property (MLS# 346060) they have nothing but positive things to say – the property is extremely private, the house is well built and shows very well, there is pride of ownership throughout, and the neighborhood is a beautiful agricultural subdivision directly off the Hana Hwy.

One of the unique things is there is already a fantastic board shaping room in place if you want to continue the profession, or take it up as a hobby. Here is the original blog post I wrote on this house which has more photos and details.

This is another video that Justin Clark shot of Ian Walsh and some buddies paddling into Jaws in February of this year

Maui No Ka Oi (Maui is the best). Time to get out of the cold weather, pick up the phone and contact me, and start living your Maui life. Best get on these great deals before the sun sets on them.

Here is Megan and me on our Foote SUP boards at sunset two days ago at Pohaku Beach Park (S-Turns) in Kahana.

Please reach out directly to me at my below contact information, or feel free to create your own HawaiiLife.com account, where you can view all properties on the MLS and save your favorites. Just click here and you will see the tab at the very top right of the page that says Sign Up, which you can then click on and follow the steps—it is easy and rewarding.

This is the Haiku life, the Maui life, the Hawaii life.

Aloha, Jeremy… Um. WOW. Mahalo nui loa for posting this – absolutely AMAZING. Can I tell you a secret? One of my most favorite things in the world to do is watch surfing – and these big wave riders… incredible. When I was in Fiji last year I literally sat at the bar and watched a big wave surfing video about 5 times. Couldn’t tear my eyes away. Somehow it just puts everything into perspective for me. You can bet I’ll be back to watch these videos over and over again!!!

Hiya, I am really glad I have found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossips and internet and this is actually irritating. A good web site with exciting content, this is what I need. Thank you for keeping this website, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can’t find it.
