Big Island

Why the Big Island's Waikoloa Beach Resort?

Waikoloa Beach Resort is a world-class golf destination

On the Kohala Coast of the Big Island, Waikoloa Beach Resort is a desired 2nd home destination. It seems to have something for everyone: ocean, restaurants, hotels, shops, tennis, golf communities, and town homes at prices from top luxury to affordable.

Today, I will just focus on the Fairway Villas, an island-style gated community located across the lake from the King’s shop. These 2 and 3 bedroom golf and lake front town homes range from $265,000 to $504,000. These Hawaiian plantation designed condominiums feature an entertainment pavilion with an infinity edged pool and elevated spa. The poolside picnic and dining area with gas barbecues is perfect for entertaining. There is a fully equipped exercise room for the fitness buff.

If you’re on island or cruising the internet to look for your ideal golf vacation home, I would recommend that you inquire about unit #D31 (MLS# 239011) currently listed at $379,000. This particular 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom penthouse loft unit is ready to move into or rent out.

Turnkey furnished, designer decorated, with 9’ ceilings, complete kitchen with granite counter top, central A/C, separate one car garage, facing the 6th fairway with views to the Kohala and Mauna Kea mountains. You will never get tired of these views and at first glance you will notice that this unit is still owned by its original owner, no wear-and-tear.

The combination of low prices, ocean, the Anaeho’omalu Beach and resort amenities attract buyers largely from the Mainland or Canada to enjoy spring break or winter holidays. They are often rented out the rest of the time.

This is not my listing, but I know how to recognize a good one! You don’t have to pretend you heard it from me, but through the coconut wireless…

Its great to have some advice at the Fairways. Some units are great and some are awful and its hard to tell which is which from the photos. Better to have some one in the know like you Catherine so you dont waste your time. Great blog.

Thank you, Eric! You are right… there are 92 units for sale at the Waikoloa Beach Resort so we’d better know the good ones! If my clients were looking to buy in Kona I would do the same and rely on your expertise.

Your right Catherine, it’s a beautiful unit and folks wanting something lovely and priced well should inquire. My clients are ready for an offer. The Fairway Villas are tucked away but so close to everything that you just walk everywhere.
