40 Room Honolulu Mansion Reduced by 30%

Honolulu Trophy House

Sunday’s Star Bulletin featured an article on a rare Nuuanu mansion named “Lihiwai” (MLS# 2909496) which was built back in 1929.

Price: $4,500,000 ($-2,000,000)

The historic home was built for Hawaii’s 2nd Territorial Governor Robert Carter and his wife Helen, who was a Kodak heiress. This was one of the largest homes in Hawaii (see floorplan) and back then encompassed ten acres. The current owner has been restoring it over the past 30 years.

For someone looking for a “Trophy Property” in Honolulu, this is the one!
