Mid-Century Modern Home Listings Popping up on Oahu

Ossipoff Home
Over the past week, I’ve noticed a number of new listings coming on the Oahu real estate market with Mid-Century Modern architecture, which is a passion my wife & I have had over the past few years. We’re in the process of remodeling a home designed by Alfred Preis (who designed the Arizona Memorial & the entrance to the Honolulu Zoo) that we purchased last year. Hawaii’s most prominent Mid-Century Modern architect was Vladimir Ossipoff. Almost 2 years ago, I wrote a blog post on Active Rain about Ossipoff and have since gotten many inquiries from buyers specifically looking for Ossipoff homes for sale. Our Big Island office currently has an Ossipoff home listed for $895,000. So, I figured I’d create a gallery to showcase Mid Century Modern homes. For the purpose of this, I won’t specifically limit to Ossipoff homes, however will showcase anything with that look/era.
Enjoy my Mid Century Modern Gallery of listings I’ve put together!

Aloha, David. Thanks for putting together the gallery – I LOVE mid-century modern!!! Would have to pick the last house in Kailua if I were to choose…
I guess Katie & I aren’t the only ones with a fascination for Mid-Century Modern homes. Here’s a recent article in Forbes Magazine that just arrived in the mail: http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2009/1130/life-real-estate-joseph-eichler-dream-homes.html
Thanks for sharing. I love the views for the property located at 855 Aalapapa Dr.
