Wayne Richardson

REALTOR BROKER

Born and raised in a family with a long legacy in Hawaii, I knew from an early age that this place would always be home. After graduating from Hawaii Preparatory Academy, I spent 10 years in Southern California. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in advertising and began my career in film and video production for large household brands. The work was rewarding, but home was calling. A career transition would be required and given my family background I leaned into real estate.

My father, Richie Richardson, is a longtime fixture in our local real estate market. He opened his first brokerage on Kauai in 1990 and spent his career representing clients statewide, serving in realtor leadership, consulting for the state, and teaching real estate to hundreds of agents and brokers. I was very fortunate to have his direction. He poured into me, guiding a foundational knowledge of the business and an emphasis on integrity, professionalism, and service to our clients.

In 2016, we relaunched our family brokerage as a franchise. In about 6 years of brokerage operations, our company represented clients on the sale of about 650 million dollars of real property. I personally represented clients on the sale of over 60 million dollars in commercial and residential sales. In addition to my role as a broker-in-charge for the company, my responsibilities included staffing, training, and supporting our office and commercial, residential, and HOA management departments.

We closed our office in 2023 and teamed up with Hawaii Life, a company which represents our shared principles and perspective. The transition has brought balance, allowing me to focus my time on what I love most about our industry—buying and selling real estate. Alongside my business partner Kristine Dugan, we have over 30 years and 150 million dollars in real estate sales history. Our collective insight, background, and collaboration helps us represent our clients efficiently, effectively, and with broad coverage.

My wife Lindsay and I, along with our son Everett and two dogs, cherish our life here on Kauai. We spend as much time as possible hiking, surfing, and adventuring with friends.

Aloha,
Wayne
