Kauila Sagum

Real estate is where my passions meet: connecting people to place, honoring craftsmanship, and sharing the lifestyle I’ve come to love on Kaua‘i. My journey to this work has been shaped by a life rooted in movement, culture, and profound respect for the land.

I was born to a Hawaiian father and a Canadian mother, both avid world travelers whose careers took them across the globe. I spent my early years in Texas and California and moved to Germany at the age of 9. I was immersed in European culture for nearly a decade, where I pursued both education and travel. In 2001, I returned to Hawai‘i, making Kaua‘i my home and reconnecting with my family’s roots on the island.

Before I entered real estate, I worked in high-end construction, learning the trade with a foundation in traditional German craftsmanship. I took part in building some of Kaua‘i’s most exceptional homes, and through that hands-on work, I developed a strong understanding of what makes a property truly stand out. That experience has given me an edge in helping clients recognize both quality and potential in the homes and land they’re considering.

Now, as part of Hawai‘i Life and Neal Norman’s top-performing team, I draw on my background in building and my personal connection to the island to guide clients through the real estate process with clarity and integrity. No matter if the goal is building a legacy or finding a peaceful hideaway, I love guiding clients and showing them how this island can be everything you’ve ever wanted, and then some.

Outside of real estate, I’m a lifelong waterman. Competing in ocean sports around the world has shaped who I am and deepened my respect for Hawai‘i’s natural beauty and traditions. That same mindset grounds my professional work, with respect, precision, and care in every transaction.
