Teri Takata

Teri was born and raised in Patterson California and considers herself a small town girl. She spent a year in Germany as an AFS student and graduated from the University of Redlands in southern California where she finally experienced "city" living. She moved to Hawaii in 1982 and managed a travel agency in Kamuela for several years. Teri had both her children in Hawaii and feels fortunate to live in the small town of Hawi in the district of North Kohala on the Big Island.

Teri was Operations Manager of a local grocery store in Hawi for 18 years. She has also worked as a substitute teacher in the public schools in North Kohala, started her own grocery delivery business to condo and homeowners in the resort areas and been a bookkeeper for an online website. After purchasing an investment property in California, and assisting her daughter in purchasing her first home, Teri became very interested in real estate as a career and got her Hawaii real estate license. Whether buying or selling property, Teri is committed to helping her clients' real estate experience be positive, productive and fun!

As a weekend gardener, Teri has enjoyed starting her own vegetable garden, planting avocado and citrus trees and spending time eating green beans off the vine with her grandson.
