Monika McKenzie

Monika is a Bay Area native whose love for the ocean and desire for a slower lifestyle led her to the Big Island seven years ago. A true entrepreneur, Monika has worked in real estate for over five years and has experience in investing, flipping, and interior designing. She is an advanced yoga instructor and ran a successful yoga studio in Kona before selling it in 2022. In 2023, Monika published her first children's book. Although she loves small-town living, it's clear her big city hustle followed her to the islands!

Monika's combination of creativity and business acumen plays an important role in her approach to real estate. Her keen eye for interior aesthetics helps optimize the appeal of listings and identify potential in properties for buyers. She is a sharp negotiator with a warm presence and is gifted at anticipating her clients' needs. Additionally, Monika is a leader in the community for social awareness and philanthropy. As such, 7% of her commissions are allocated towards helping native Hawaiians become homeowners in Hawaii.

Outside of real estate, Monika loves to cook and bake, practice wellness, travel, and can be found hiking or at the beach with her husband and two small children.
