Just Listed: Executive Level Bank Owned Home in Pineapple Hill Estates in Kapalua, Maui

Aloha and welcome to 233 Crestview Rd. (MLS# 364783) in Kapalua, which is a 4 bed/4 bath single level home with roughly 4,400 sq.ft. of living area (about 6,000 sq.ft. under roof) in Pineapple Estates; one of West Maui’s most revered gated luxury home communities. This residence sits on a lush and well manicured 0.42 acre lot that is mostly flat and slopes downwards towards the ocean and bordering privacy gulch.

233 Crestview in a Nutshell

Views. Quality. Privacy. Furnished. Panoramic vistas of Napili, Mauna Kahalawai, ocean, sunset, Molokai and Lanai island. An expansive floor plan with a large great room, an open kitchen, and multiple master suites. Stainless Thermadore appliances, rough cut travertine, exotic hardwoods, granite, and custom finishes throughout. Gated and secure neighborhood located 2 minutes from West Maui’s finest beaches, Spa Montage, championship golfing, and fine dining.

Unobstructed & Assorted Natural Vistas

233 Crestview faces southwest affording it spectacular year-round sunset views between the islands of Lanai and Molokai not to mention the lush vistas of Mauna Kahalawai and the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean.

There is a large open green space out in front of the home between these views enhancing its raw privacy with a stunning setting. This green space is actually an agriculturally zoned gulch where there was once a boutique farm operating – the land is not suited towards development and thus it is highly unlikely that these views will ever be obstructed. Unequivocally this home has one of the most expansive ocean views in all of Pineapple Hill and certainly at this price point.

Truly a Great Room

In the higher end real estate market here in Maui, many living rooms are oversized and thus classified as great rooms; the aforementioned couldn’t be more of an understatement in 233 Crestview.

Crestview great room

You drive up through the exterior porte-cochere, stroll through the front door, and are met with the immediate “wow” factor of 14 foot ceilings accented by mahogany crown molding with rectangular soffitts. You immediately feel the gravity of this home as the huge sliding glass Fleetwood doors spanning about twenty-five feet open your personal world out to the sites, sounds, and sensations that make this property simply irreplaceable. The home’s open concept allows a seamless transition from the kitchen, through the dining area, great room, and to the outdoor lounging space out by the pool.

Your Personal Chef Will be Pleased with Your Equipment

Whether you chose to cook for yourself or put your favorite local chef on payroll, there is plenty of room and top of the line equipment to work with. It has the largest refrigerator I have ever seen – a huge stainless Thermadore double door fridge with two freezers on the bottom completing it. There are two stainless Thermadore dishwashers, and a beautiful propane Thermadore Range and oven to complete the package. There is plenty of cabinet storage and you will love the soft close doors on all the sliders. Large and light colored granite slab countertops and the large island compliment the rich colored hardwood cabinetry exude refinement and bring it all together.

4 Complete Bedroom Suites

All four of the bedrooms in Crestview are set up as suites, each with their own full bathrooms. The master suite lives on the makai side (ocean) of the home – this suite is seriously impressive in every way.

Crestview bedroom

Directly adjoining the master is the most modestly sized bedroom, which could easily be converted to an office or nursery. The other two bedrooms are on the mauka (mountain) wing giving them a comfortable degree of separation.

bedroom lanai

Three of the four bedrooms, including the master, have their own covered lanai areas that are all oriented out towards the stunning views.

The Saltwater Pool & Spa

This pool is really just the perfect size – large enough to entertain, lounge, or exercise in, but not too much as to excessively drive up the maintenance bills. The spa will very comfortably sit 2 adults, and I’m sure if you wanted to get real cozy you could get 4 in there – there is a mini waterfall that cascades down into the pool – water falling, crisp breezes blowing, and warm Maui sunshine captures and pacifies your every sense.

Crestview pool

Much like the rest of the house, the pool is very private and there is no way for anyone to look in on you here. The saltwater feels wonderful on your skin and once you have had enough of gazing back and forth between the stunning mountain and ocean landscapes, there is an outside shower for you to rinse off in.

Pineapple Hill aerial

Welcome to Pineapple Hill

Pineapple Hill sits on a bluff affording it spectacular views of both Lanai and Molokai island, vast Pacific Ocean waters, and the Kapalua resort. It is defined by a high degree of consistency and neighborhood integrity, immaculately kept and beautifully varied landscaping, and a very well run association of homeowners who very clearly care about their community. For the exclusive use of owners and guests, there is a central clubhouse with a kitchen and outdoor bbq area for the large lap pool and outdoor lounging area, as well as two tennis courts.

Pineapple Hill is in very close proximity (walking distance if you chose) to a number of 4-star restaurants including Cane and Canoe at the Montage, Pineapple Grill, the Banyan Tree at The Ritz Carlton, and my personal favorite, Merriman’s overlooking Kapalua Bay. I am a huge sushi fan, so I delight in that Kai Sushi at the Ritz and Sansei are also very close.

Live & Love the Kapalua Life

Kapalua is a world-class destination for golf and is home to my personal favorite, The Bay Course, as well as the very challenging but more renowned Plantation Course. Both of these are exceptional courses and I highly recommend either depending on your skill set and the wind conditions. Looking to sharpen your game with some instruction? The Kapalua Golf Academy has received many accolades throughout the years.

My wife and I also very much enjoy the walking trails in Kapalua – most notably the coastal trail, the old Village Golf Course, and our favorite, the Mahana Ridge Trail which takes you up several thousand feet with some spectacular views and is a great workout.

Kapalua is also home to spectacular white sand beaches with waters that are normally quite calm and perfect for swimming. Kapalua Bay is great for lounging, swimming, and snorkeling as it is very protected.

Flemmings beach park is the next one North and has the largest beach area in all of Kapalua – this beach is great for longer barefoot walks, boogie boarding and body surfing, as well as some surfing when the swells are really up.

Mokuleia, also known as Slaughterhouse Beach, is the next one on the list and is probably the less known and least traveled. The sand is extremely soft here and there is a large sand shelf that runs a good distance into the water – great for snorkeling on the right side of the bay and boogie boarding.

Lastly, is the world renown Honolua Bay – a marine preserve with vast reefs filled with a plethora of tropical fish and sea turtles making it one of the very best snorkeling and diving locations in the state. During the winter swells, Honolua offers a long and hollow wave with multiple take off locations and is certainly one of the best waves in the state.

The air is fresh and cool in Kapalua, the mountains are lush and vibrant, the beaches are as good as they get, and there are plenty of amenities to make life exquisite – feel like calling it home today? Please reach out and schedule your personal viewing of 233 Crestview today.

With the Montage units recently going under contract at $4.9 million and $4.75 million, this truly seems like a bargain to me. In any case, potential Montage buyers should be giving this home some serious consideration.
