Custom Home in Kona Vista | Ideal Elevation, Spectacular Views & Convenient Location

What’s interesting about the town of Kailua-Kona is that the entire town is on a mountain slope. There are very few subdivisions in Kailua-Kona that are actually flat. In less than a mile, the elevation in Kailua-Kona can change from 0 to 600 ft., if not higher, depending on the area. A small change in elevation subtly changes your living environment.

The elevation of your home will determine whether or not you will need AC, or if you will be able to slimply sleep with the windows open at night. Elevation also determines your view plane, and depending on the height of your elevation, accessibility to and from your property become a factor.

Nice home, and I agree the “off Lako” location is just about perfect for easy access to town, Keauhou and any activities a person may want to experience. Personally, I think almost any elevation between about 300 ft. up to about 1200 ft. is just about right. That 600 ft. point puts this property right in the middle.
