A few months ago, I decided to run a contest about the fate of the pink house on Diamond Head. As I had mentioned, I was torn. Part of me couldn’t wait to see the color change and the other part of me knew I might lose my landmark for giving directions. As it turns out, the home ended up being painted recently. Below you’ll see the home being transformed.

A man of my word, I would like to congratulate Sandra Tsuruda for your guess of “perfect greige.” Of all the votes we received on my blog, our company Facebook Page, and my personal Facebook Page, hers was definitely the closest. Dave…I wondered what had happened…although pepto bismol pink is not on my personal color wheel, I really could not imagine this home another color….and a big congrats to the owners who must have a great sense of humor ….i just love that they left the garage door pinked.

@Kristina – The garage door is no longer pink. You’ll see the final result when you scroll to the bottom. The did a great job, however now I need to come up with a new landmark when giving directions…
