$428K North Kailua-Kona Home For Sale Near Golf Course

I went golfing last Sunday at the Makalei Golf Club in Kona. An absolutely gorgeous day for golf: cool, partly sunny, and cool breezes. The course is green and lush because it’s up on the mountainside. For me, the oddest thing was seeing peacocks strolling around at almost every hole.

At first it was a little creepy, but it was beautiful—when they spread their tail feathers, it blows me away every time. Big Island life can mean golfing amidst peacocks in the morning and hitting the beach in the afternoon. Click here to see a video tour of the course, including the peacocks, wild turkeys, and game birds!

Golf is so available on the Big Island. This course is only a ten minute drive to my listing on 73-4332 Paani Pl. (MLS# 232786). This 4 bed/3 bath home sits on a lot that is 11,000 sq. ft. This house has it all—views, separate apartment downstairs (ohana), meticulous landscaping, fruit trees in the garden, open floor plan. The interior feels like a golf resort home!

This has been reasonably priced for a fast sale. One of the best things about this property is that it’s not a short sale or foreclosure! Meaning—this can be your new Hawaii home as quickly as you can fund and close escrow!

Kona Palisades is located in North Kailua-Kona. It lies up the mountain (mauka) from the Kona International Airport, with varying elevations up to 1,700 ft., providing cooler summer days and comfortable evenings. Centrally located—approximately 15 minutes from Kailua town and 20 minutes to the famous Kohala Coast resorts—shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and some of the Big Island’s best beaches are only minutes away.

If you prefer a smaller vacation home, take a look at these golf condos from Mauna Kea on the Kohala Coast to Na’alehu in the Puna district.
