One thing many homeowners overlook when purchasing a condominium or townhouse is the impact that the governing rules of your homeowners association (HOA) can have on your social lives. Do they have quiet hours? Can youÂ barbecueÂ in your backyard or on the patio? Most important to many of us animal-lovers though…. Do they allow pets and, if so, is there a limit to the number or size of them? Even if you don’t have or want pets at the time of the purchase, consider how those circumstances can change. Might you have children or is it possible that a significant other may move in with you?
