I was born in Guam. My father was in the Navy. Because of that I have the greatest respect and gratitude for those who serve our country. Thank you for your service. I have traveled all over the world and lived in Europe and Asia. Ask me about some of the places I’ve been.
Laurie and I relocated to Hawai'i from California, the Bay Area, in 2002. I have family in San Diego. I have always lived near the ocean, so Hawai'i is the perfect place for me. I respect the disabled and the elderly. My sister-in-law is disabled and my parents are in their 80’s. Both my grandmothers lived to be in their 90’s. I hope I inherit some of that. I have a great sense of humor and make it a part of my daily routine. Without it I would go nuts. . . more nuts. We get a newspaper delivered every day but I only read the comics. I get my news from the Internet.
I live on two acres and have a large garden. I’ve planted citrus trees, coffee trees, Macadamia nut trees, bananas, lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, you name it, I have it planted. Probably. I love to cook. I never follow a recipe exactly and don’t usually measure ingredients. I love Mediterranean food, Thai food, and barbequing. And sushi. And lots of vegetables. I’ve remodeled several homes and designed my own renovations. I’ve been a real estate investor and owned rental property.
I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. It can come in handy when looking at homes. I love buildings. I’ve also worked in product design and manufacturing, engineering, finance, telecommunications, IT, and international business. I’m told I’m “well rounded”.I love working with computers and the Internet. I design my own websites. I use technology to the fullest. When I understand it. I’m interested in alternative and solar energy, being off the grid, and recycling. Can you blame me? Energy costs are outrageous.
I used to own horses and ride in rodeos. Bareback broncs. Who knew? I studied judo and karate. I play tennis every week. I go fishing about once a month, schedule permitting. I have several cats. I don’t know how many anymore because they come and go. I used to have seven fresh and saltwater aquariums. I’d like to have another one but don’t have the space.
I’ve had a Hawai'i Real Estate License since 2004. I really can’t imagine doing anything else. Helping people is my oxygen. I specialize in finding appropriate homes for those wanting to retire to the Big Island. Fully retired, semi-retired, and some-day-I’m-going-to-retire all fit into my expertise. I am a thorough problem solver, do extensive research, and pride myself on providing a variety of solutions for my clients. Where others can’t close a transaction, I can usually find a way.
That’s just about it.
