My wife and I took our first trip to Hawai’i over 13 years ago. From there it became our “go to” destination, exploring the Islands and recreational opportunities they offered. We loved the water, the land, the people of Hawai’i. Since then we’ve been fortunate to travel across the U.S., Europe, Central America, and Southeast Asia. In the end we fell in love with Maui, and after many years of talking about it we made Maui our home. As a transplant I understand how many factors go into making the decision to move to this beautiful place, and the challenges and obstacles that come with it. I make it my goal to listen first, then act on my clients’ needs to solve problems and make the transition as smooth as possible. I'm committed to helping my clients through every aspect of buying and selling – and that means doing what I say I'm going to do, every time. It means staying organized, making things clear, and coordinating the efforts of lenders, inspectors, appraisers, and closing agents.
Born and raised in Michigan, I grew up with a love of the water and the outdoors. Swimming, snorkeling, surfing, sailing, and windsurfing all became a part of my youth and a part of my life that has never left me. At age 20 I traveled to the Virgin Islands for 3 months, spent 2 months in Honduras, traveled back home and eventually settled in Bellingham, Washington to wrap up a bachelor’s degree. After graduating I returned to the job of my summers, working in construction and eventually becoming a General Contractor. I worked on or managed numerous remodel projects and built homes from the ground up, working on everything from concrete foundations to fine finish work. I eventually heeded the call to real estate and pursued my license.
As a Realtor® since 2013 I bring over 20 years of combined experience in construction and real estate. After hanging up my toolbags I have gone on to help buyers and sellers with over 150 transactions and $50 million in sales. I have assisted clients with single family homes, condominiums, vacation rentals, raw land, multifamily properties, and commercial properties. I’ve received numerous awards based on transactions and sales volume, but the greatest honor is the compliments and words of gratitude from my clients. I’ve worked with everyone from first time homebuyers with no down payment to multi-million dollar cash buyers. Each has their own story and I work hard to take care of all of them like they were family.
Outside the office I spend my free time continuing to explore the beauty and adventure of Maui, from the beaches on the North Shore to the summit of Haleakala you’ll find me out with my wife and two daughters searching out new beaches, waterfalls, and hiking trails. I also continue to snorkel, swim, trail run, mountain bike, surf, and windsurf. I’m always looking for new ways to be involved in our community and help to keep Maui the special place it truly is.
