Kehalani – Maui’s Newest and Largest Master Planned Community

Recently I’ve found that I’ve been focusing on new construction and mainly in the Master Planned Community of Kehalani, in Wailuku, Maui. That’s when it dawned on me that I should be blogging about ALL the neighborhoods in Kehalani, not just the newly built ones. So over the next while, I will be focusing on each individual neighborhood, one at a time, blog by blog.

Kehalani is Maui’s most recent Master Planned Community. Nestled along the foothills of the West Maui Mountains and just above Wailuku town, this residential neighborhood has a cooler climate and some spectacular views due to its elevation of up to 800 ft.

Sprawling over 550 acres and composed of approximately 2,400 residences, Kehalani spans both sides of the Honoapi’ilani Hwy/High St. Bike paths and sidewalks are located all throughout Kehalani and conveniently intersect small pocket parks as well as a 13-acre community park with restrooms and parking. All are highly used as residents of all ages walk, run and bike through the landscaped routes.

For further convenience, the Kehalani Village Center is located within the complex and contains a Foodland, coffee shop, bank, gas station, a fast food restaurant, and a drugstore.
