David Nehls

David and his family have been coming to the islands for over 25 years. The attraction to Hawaii for them has always been the beauty of the islands, the climate, the water and most importantly, the aloha spirit of the people. In 2009, David and his wife, Jean were able make the islands their permanent home. After retiring from a successful career in Federal Law Enforcement which began in 1980 as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, David eventually moved to the US Customs Service and then to Homeland Security and the US Department of State. During his career David was transferred many times all over the US and two foreign countries. Each move involved buying a new home and selling the old one. He and his wife have purchased and sold 13 homes in 12 different states. They became experts at being able to locate and purchase homes that would be great places to live and could also stand up to market conditions whenever the next set of transfer orders came along. Through this experience they also learned what it takes to be a great real estate agent. David and Jean now live on Maui in the Haiku area where the weather is always perfect. No air conditioner or furnace needed. They keep their two horses on their property along with a healthy orchard of avocados, oranges, grapefruit, and other exotic plants. David and Jean spend their free time scuba diving, kayaking, gardening, hiking, playing golf, enjoying Maui’s wonderful restaurants and watching an occasional movie at one of the local theaters. The experience David and Jean have to share with anyone looking to purchase property on Maui is unique. Give them a call or send them an email message and let them help you find your piece of Maui Island paradise.
